  • Weep You No More wins Yale Glee Club's 2009 Emerging Composers Competition. The work will be premiered in November, 2009.
  • The San Francisco Chamber Orchestra's performance of Concertino for oboe and strings was reviewed in San Francisco Classical Voice:
  • Gilbertson awarded 2009 Charles Ives Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. The photograph from the awards ceremony is found here:
  • Vigil wins 2009 Morton Gould Award from ASCAP.
